Front Office Coordinator (FOC)University West Pet Clinic is a busy animal hospital looking for one more person to add to our team as a Front Office Coordinator (FOC)! If you have excellent customer service and communication skills, have a great sense of urgency, an excellent attention to detail, have a desire to learn about and work in the veterinary medical profession, and love animals, this may be the position for you!Responsibilities and DutiesUpholding our standards of care and customer service while also:Answering phone callsScheduling appointments and managing the appointment schedulerAssisting veterinariansFilling medications, prescription diets (up to 35 lbs), and other products/items as requestedCommunicating effectively with clients in various types of situationsUsing the computer/various technology to accurately retrieve records, print daily reports, and complete projects as neededPromoting the hospital through the use of the hospital's social media account(s)Learning and exercising knowledge in basic veterinary principalsCash handling and discharging patients through the use of veterinary softwareGeneral maintenance of the front desk/reception areaActing as the face of the clinic, greeting clients and helping them out as neededQualifications and SkillsEveryone working with University West Pet Clinic embraces our high standards of customer service and veterinary care. Front Office Coordinators play a pivotal role in our practice and are the first and last contact for our clients. They must strive to create positive lasting impressions and inspire our team to keep excelling as we continue to grow.RequirementsHighschool diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to type 45 words per minute or more. Ability to lift 35+ lbs. Customer service experience preferred, veterinary knowledge or experience is a plus but not required. Must be available Saturdays in addition to varying hours throughout the week.
