Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual to join our client’s team as Clerical Assistant III. You will responsible for all Front Desk operations, including scheduling, check in /out, co-pay collections, registrations, My-Chart enrollments, Bio-metric enrollments, meeting and greeting patients. .

Job Description

• Monitors the environment of the practice ensuring patient and staff safety
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure patients receive the best possible care
• Participate in meetings and huddles when necessary
• Monitors and facilitate the proper usage of Patients’ Kiosks for virtual visits
• Interacts and communicates with patients with Behavioral Health needs
• Practices contingency plans are initiated during emergencies such as IT and power outages
• Monitors compliance as per OMH, JC, and CMS standards
• Provides HIPPA compliant patient appointment information with agencies and other sites as required
• Monitors equipment and clinic environment -may submit work orders as needed
• Assist with Performance Improvement & Quality Assurance reports and data collection
• Calls patients to remind of upcoming appointments
• Monitors show rates closely and shares with providers
• Requisitions in-house supplies
• Assists in other units within Behavioral Health as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional/Recap of Duties:

• Answer telephone, relays messages, and directs accordingly.
• Is responsible for wearing professional attire to the workplace as well as during off-site work when conducting business on behalf of Metropolitan Hospital, as per dress attire policy.
• Promote a positive and pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace, which enhances and furthers the Mission, Vision and Value Statement.
• Meet all Company compliance standards/requirement such as annual physical evaluation/assessment, Annual assessment Training; ELM trainings, and Fire Drill participation; annual OHS compliance
• Adheres to the Mission/Vision/Value Statement and Guiding Principles of the Organization in all endeavors

Skills Required

• Two years’ experience
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to motivate and supervise staff
• Bilingual – English and Spanish

• Electronic Medical Record
• Internet access to HMO sites for insurance verification purposes
• Xerox/ Fax Machine
• Departmental Forms & Reports
• Epic -Cyrocome

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma Required

Additional Requirements

• Shifts for these two workers will be one from 7am-3pm and one from 12pm-8pm. Please indicate in your submission which shift(s) you can work.

Pay Rate

• $22–$26 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
